Your car, clean.
The launcher for Android car and motorcycle screens that weighs 1.6 MB, opens in under a second and uses nothing when idle.
No ads, no accounts, no tracking. Open source.
Fast for real.
Car and motorcycle screens usually have little memory and slow processors. LiteDash is built for them: it starts instantly and, when you're not touching it, it does nothing.
Download size
Downloads in seconds, even on mobile data.
To open
From nothing to your home screen, precompiled for slow head units.
Of memory
Fits easily on 1 and 2 GB RAM screens.
CPU when idle
Nothing runs in the background or polls every second.
Measured with LiteDash 1.3.3 on a 7" head unit emulator with 2 GB RAM (median of 10 cold starts). Every release is measured again before it ships.
Up to 20 times lighter.
Less space, less memory and less waiting. Compared with other well-known car launchers:

Your car is the background.
Your car sits on the floor with its shadow and a soft reflection running under the cards. Like in luxury cars, but on your screen.
- Ten models in the catalog (cars and a motorcycle), with their badges. Download one only if you want it.
- Any color: hue, saturation and brightness, live.
- Spin it 360° with your finger; it stays where you leave it. One tap shows it big.
- Three tiles you can combine: the 3D car, your car on the road with your speed and trip distance, and an image of yours (like your logo).
- Don't want to see a car? Speedometer-only templates, or your photo as the background with cards on top, BYD style.

Paint it like yours.
Six quick colors and a free picker for any shade. The app doesn't ship with cars: they download from the catalog (about 2 MB each) and go away with one tap whenever you want.
- Preview every car before downloading it.
- Spin quality Low or High: more smoothness downloads only the missing frames.
- You can always go back to the drawn sedan, which weighs nothing.

The Workshop: your OBD scanner.
Plug an ELM327 adapter into the OBD port (under the steering wheel) and LiteDash talks to the engine. Over Bluetooth, Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi or a USB cable, with no extra app.
- Trouble codes explained in plain words, and clearing them with a double confirmation.
- Would you pass inspection? The check engine light and the readiness monitors they check.
- Gauges on your home screen: tachometer, coolant and oil temperature, fuel, battery, fuel economy, boost, throttle and fuel rate.
- Alerts if the engine overheats or the battery isn't charging, and a speedometer from OBD or GPS.

Modular: everything starts off.
Freshly installed, LiteDash is the bare minimum. Each feature turns on when you want it, and what's off costs nothing: no memory, no battery, no permissions. All inside the same app, nothing else to install.
Your home, your way
Move, resize or remove tiles, with or without a card, over your own background photo. Templates with the car, the road, a speedometer or your background, for 7", 10" and 11"+ screens.
Gauges your way
Arc, needle, digital, ring or sport bar; any color (or dynamic from green to red), up to 320 km/h, with numbers and a red zone.
Music
Control whatever is playing in any app (Spotify, YouTube Music, radio, USB or Bluetooth) without leaving home. Play wakes it up even if it's closed.
Navigate
Waze or Google Maps one tap away, Home and Work on the card and the next turn without opening the map.
Steering wheel buttons
Learn each button on your wheel and pick what it does: music, volume, map, voice or home.
Day and night
Theme and brightness by sunset time, the light sensor or the car's headlights, which LiteDash learns from your head unit.
Weather and Trip
Temperature and a 3-day forecast; speed, heading, distance and time from GPS, only while you look.
Car reminders
Service, inspection, tax, insurance and plates, with a heads-up days before.
Android Auto and CarPlay
Your projection app (Zlink, AutoKit…) one tap away from the dock or a tile.
Parked
After a few minutes untouched, a big, discreet clock that doesn't glare at night.
Tires (TPMS)
Pressure and temperature of each tire over your car, read straight from the sensors.
One-tap updates.
No hunting for the new APK online or copying it to the screen over USB. In Settings → About, tap "Check for updates" and that's it.
Check
LiteDash looks for a new version on GitHub.
Verify
It downloads it and checks it arrived complete and untouched (SHA-256).
Install
Android asks you to confirm, and your layout stays as it was.

What makes us different.
LiteDash was born in a real car, on a real screen, and is built for the person driving.
Light by rule
Every version is measured before it ships. If something weighs too much, it doesn't get in: that's why the built-in map was removed.
Made for driving
Big buttons, no pop-ups in the way and home always one tap away.
Truly yours
No ads, no accounts, no analytics. It only touches the internet when you download a car, check the weather or look for updates.
Open source
GPL-3.0 license. You can read the code, report problems or propose improvements on GitHub.
